Work and Worship Go Hand in Hand –
Many think that work is a result of sin. Yes it is true after he sinned Adam was told by God, “By the sweat of your brow you shall eat bread.” This is when work became arduous, but not in itself sinful. Good work is an act of worship.
The Bible commands us to work, saying, “Work in a quite fashion, and eat your own bread.” “If anyone will not work, neither let him eat.” Good honest work, to provide for today, and even save for the future is what God desires. “Four things on earth are small, yet they are extremely wise,” the Bible tells us. “Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer.” This is Dr. Jay Quine. Entitlement is out. The ants are in. Lift your load. Work. Save. And by your hard work, providing jobs and opportunity for others, know you are serving the Lord. Get to work — it’s a privilege.
